Fear Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Life, Real Or Imagined?

Fear Over Nnamdi Kanu's Life

The point must first be made that UNCENSORED is not a fan of the incendiary Nnamdi Kanu, the incarcerated leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who is standing trial on treason charges.

UNCENSORED cannot but be alarmed at a report suggesting that the Department of State Service (DSS) has taken his blood sample 21 times for an undisclosed reason. Whatever for?

In a fundamental rights enforcement suit number
FHC/ABJ/CS/1585/21, Kanu is alleging that a doctor, engaged by the security agency, had extracted his blood sample over 21 times!

Without unnecessarily drawing needless parallels, UNCENSORED wishes to recall that a one time Chief of General Staff, Major-General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua (rtd) died on 8th December 1997 in Port Harcourt Prison after he was infected with a virus by agents of the state under the guise of taking his blood samples.

The same fate might have befallen his erstwhile boss, Olusegun Obasanjo, who reportedly escaped by the whiskers following a cryptic message sent to him by his friend, Chief Bola Ige who was said to have advised him to resist any attempt to have his blood sample taken.

Finally, not a few were taken back with the news that the firebrand legal icon and human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi was suffering from a “strange illness”. He later died of lung cancer. Fawehinmi was not just a teetotaller in his lifetime, he was never a smoker either.

While UNCENSORED is not insinuating anything, an undeniable fact however is that on several occasions, in the course of his numerous detentions, Chief Fawehinmi was sprayed with noxious chemicals by agents of the state.

Again, UNCENSORED has not said (and is not saying) Chief Fawehinmi’s death resulted from the action of state agents. However, your guess is as good as ours.
