Watch party is a feature on Facebook that allows friends and family to watch videos together as a live video and share their thoughts in the comments section.
Facebook announced that Watch Party will be discontinued on Friday, April 16, 2021, and will no longer be available on Facebook which means that you will no longer be able to create or view watch parties across Pages, Profiles or Groups, and all previous watch parties will no longer be available to rewatch.
All related posts, comments on posts, and reactions to those posts or comments will no longer be available.

However, if you download a copy of your information by April 15, 2021, it will include your watch party posts, comments, and reactions. Playlist info, attendee lists, viewer stats will not be downloaded.
You can download your information by using the Download Your Information tool.
To download a copy of your Facebook data from your mobile device:
- Tap in the top right of Facebook.
- Scroll down and tap Settings and Privacy.
- Tap Settings
- Scroll down and tap Download Your Information.
- Select the categories of data you want to download by checking the boxes on the right side
- Select the date range, format, and quality
- Tap Create File
Your download will appear as pending and may take some days before it’s available for download.
