As Nigerian Muslims join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate this year’s eid-il-kabir (ileya festival) tomorrow 16th June, 2024, a member of the House of Representatives representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal constituency, Oyo State, Hon. (Prince) Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Nigeria/Mexico Parliamentary Friendship, has extended warm felicitations to his constituents, the people of Oyo state, and the entire Muslim Ummah on this auspicious occasion which is the festival of sacrifice.
In his Eid kabir message personally signed and made available to Rulers World News Media, Hon. Olafisoye popularly called “Lafi” expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting the opportunity to witness and partake in this significant act of worship and obedient to their creator, urging Muslims across the nation to embrace and uphold the values and virtues exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim when he obeyed God to sacrifice his son.
Furthermore, Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede urged the Muslim Ummah to utilize this festive period to fervently pray for the progress, unity, and prosperity of Nigeria and be grateful to God Almighty for being alive despite the unpalatable economic situation in the country.
Recognizing the challenges facing the nation, he emphasized the importance of collective prayers and unity in overcoming obstacles and fostering development in Nigeria.
Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede extended his heartfelt Eid celebration to all muslim faithfuls and traditional rulers in Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency and all citizens and residents of Oyo State, reiterating that Eid-el-Kabir is about to remind individual, once again, of how the Almighty God usually intervenes to turn a situation of hopelessness to that of hope and happiness.
He prayed to God to spare the lives of individuals to witness many more sallah celebrations on earth with sound health and peace of mind.
