ECWA Urges Govt To Tackle Insecurity

The Federal and the Kwara State governments have again been charged to address the security challenges bedeviling the Nation to ensure safety of lives and property.

The Evangelical Church Winning All ECWA made the call in a communique issued at the end of its three day joint fifteenth biannual District Church Councils Conference comprising Ilorin, Omu-Aran, Igbaja, Oro-Ago and Fate-Tanke DCCs, held at Reverend D C Porters Camp Ground, Shao.

The Body commended the Federal Government and particularly the Kwara State Government on all efforts geared at combating insecurity.

The Communique jointly signed by the Chairman, Joint DCCs Forum, Reverend Raphael Omotosho and Secretary Joint DCCs Forum, Reverend Jacob Olukayode implored the Kwara State Government to do more as cases of kidnapping, almost unheard of in the recent past is currently raising its head.

It noted that those involved in the illicit act and apprehended should be diligently prosecuted while concerted efforts should be made to checkmate the menace.

They called on Christians to be prepared for the second coming of Jesus Christ and be steadfast in the Lord, and live a Holy life.

It resolved to surmount all evils ubiquitous in the society reflected in the menace of Boko Haram, banditry, kidnapping and other ills ravaging the Nation.

The body called on Youths to shun vices and work for the progress and development of the nation.
