Eagles earn away draw, Abuja is decider

Nigeria perhaps will be the happier of the two as the much-anticipated top of the billing match between Ghana and Nigeria ended in a 0-0 scoreline.

No goal was recorded in the game but it was a very exciting match as a sold-out Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi witnessed a high octane match between two rivals.

Both teams enjoyed massive support as the Nigerians had the full compliment of government presence with the Nigerian sports minister, Sunday Dare cheering the team from the stands while the Kumasi stadium witnessed the largest crowd in its history.

At the end of 90 minutes, nothing could separate the two West African neighbours, leaving the decider for the return leg in Abuja on Tuesday next week.

The winner over two legs will represent Africa at the World cup in Qatar.
