CBW-Africa Advocates for Single Currency in Africa

 

The Continental President of Commonwealth Business Women Africa, CBW-Africa, Mrs. Ngozi Oyewole has advocated for the usage of one single currency in the Continent.

Speaking at the “African Liberation Day” Celebration hosted by Commonwealth Business Women African (cbwafrican)
CBW-Africa Nigeria Chapter, Abuja, Mrs Oyewole emphasized the need for boarderless Africa that would encourage visa free movement , one currency ams one passport .

The Continental President also stressed the need for African leaders to speak with one voice and work for the growth, development and progress of the Continent.

She stated that this would address the various laxity and shortcomings and misgiving of the past about the Continent.

Mrs Oyewole praised the early Nationalists who fought for the emancipation and political freedom of the Continent for their vision and foresight .

The Continental President called on the current generation to build on the solid foundations laid by our founding fathers.

“Our fathers let good legacy for us, it behooves on us not to let them down with our dangerous ambition and desire”, she added

Other speakers at the event including Erelu Oodua Florida Okunowo JP, Miss – Abuja Group Coordinator, Olori Omolara Babatunde-Soares – Head of Protocols, Hadjia Hassana Bala – Admin. Officer, Mrs. Asabe Useni-Atu – Membership/Welfare Officer
, Princess Adaeze Amanda Udeji – Events/Programs Officer, Hadjia Maryam Shehu and Mrs. Abimbola Fola-Fagbemi all supported the idea of single currency, visa free movement and one passport saying such would ensure unity and oneness in the Continent .

They called on all to support the initiative adding that such usage is long overdue.
