President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Balarabe Shehu Ilelah as the acting Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
This was disclosed by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, via a statement issued in Abuja on Friday.
The minister noted that Ilelah’s appointment is for a tenure of five years in the first instance.
Ilelah was appointed by President Buhari as the new National Broadcasting Commission Director-General following the removal of Professor Armstrong Idachaba.
Idachaba’s removal was announced four days after he ordered all broadcast stations in the country to go off Twitter.
