Buckingham Palace releases 30-person guest list for Prince Philip’s funeral in full

Prince Philip’s funeral is set to take place this Saturday, April 17. In accordance with current coronavirus regulations, the guest list has been strictly limited to just 30 mourners, and Buckingham Palace has now released the names of the family members who will be attending.

The late Duke’s grandson Prince Harry will be attending but his wife Meghan Markle has remained in their California home, reportedly on medical advice.

His brother, Prince William will be attending, together with his wife, Kate Middleton. Princess Beatrice will be accompanied by her husband, property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Her sister, Princess Eugenie will be attending with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, husband of Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, is also on the list and Mike Tindall – husband of the Princess Royal’s daughter Zara Phillips, will also be at the intimate Windsor Castle ceremony.

A handful of foreign dignitaries have also been invited – Bernhard, Hereditary Prince of Baden, Prince Philipp of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, and Prince Donatus, Landgrave of Hesse. All have family connections to the late Duke.

Others on the guest list include the Queen’s first cousins Princess Alexandra, the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent, who loyally supported the monarch and Philip by carrying out royal duties over the decades.

But missing from the list of the monarch’s cousins is Prince Michael of Kent, 78, who is not a working royal.
