Nigerian singer, Olarenwaju Fasasi popularly known as Sound Sultan is dead, aged 44.
Sound Sultan was diagnosed with white blood cell cancer.
The deceased had been undergoing chemotherapy in a hospital in the United States of America.
His demise was announced in a statement by his family on Sunday.
Born on November 27, 1976, the 44-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, comedian, and recording artist was regarded as one of the pacesetters of modern hip-hop music in Nigeria.
He is survived by his wife, children, and siblings.
