BREAKING: Emir of Kajuru regains freedom

The Emir of Kajuru, Alhassan Adamu, who was kidnapped on Sunday, alongside thirteen members of his family, has regained his freedom on Monday, according to Channels Television.

He was released at about 5 pm, after spending a night in the custody of the bandits.

However, the other 13 members of his family are still in captivity.

A top official of the Kajuru local government area confirmed the release of the 85-year-old traditional ruler to Channels Television.

The spokesman of the Kajuru Emirate council, Dahiru Abubakar also confirmed the release of the emir.

He said Emir Adamu was released at an undisclosed location within Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

He also said the emir is in good condition.
