Albert Eromosele Takes Colby Covington Challenge After Accident Setback

Former Boxing Great, Albert Eromosele has made a remarkable comeback to the ringside as he is now the trainer of UFC fighter Colby Covington, more than a year after surviving a ghastly accident.

A renowned Nigerian ex-boxer, Eromosele was forced to withdraw from a lucrative agreement to become Nigeria’s Boxing Technical Adviser to the 2024 Olympics last summer in France after a car accident in his Florida base in the USA, left him with a damaged knee.

Nigeria had a disastrous outing at the Games and the major reason for the poor performance has been traced to Eromosele’s absence from the Nigerian corner going by his proven track record as a boxer, including winning the IBA, IBO, and IBF intercontinental junior middleweight titles, he would have undoubtedly brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.

Unconfirmed report has it that a return approach is being planned by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC) but it remains to be seen how the American Based trainer can joggle his role as the trainer of UFC fighter, Colby Covington and a Technical Adviser of Boxing in Nigeria.
