The state congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.
The decision to postpone the congress came after some members of the Oyo APC met with the National Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the APC, in Abuja on Thursday.
The APC members in Oyo State had stormed the APC National Secretariat and met with Chairman, CECPC, Mala Mai Buni pointing to plans of some persons in the party to hijack the affairs of the party.
To give room for resolution of the issues and prevent a parallel congress, the National Secretariat subsequently announced postponement for another two weeks with the new date for the Oyo APC state congress fixed for November 6, 2021.
