Samuel Emobor Oghenekporboro, 18, was arrested by men of the Edo Police Command for attempting to use his biological mother identified as Mrs Christiana Ighoyivwi, for a money ritual after strangling her to death.

The incident happened at their 8B, Market Road, Ologbo Community residence, along Benin- Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state. He reportedly strangled her while she was asleep until she passed out.

He then had carnal knowledge of her as directed by his money-making herbalist. The latter asked the kid to keep her corpse for two days after the abominable deed. Neighbours called in the police when they noticed his suspicious movements.
