14 graduate with first class from Federal University, Lokoja

A total of 14 students have graduated with first class from the Federal University, Lokoja, FUL, Kogi State.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, made the disclosure on Saturday during the University’s 5th convocation ceremony held at the Felele campus of the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, said the first class students are from the Department of Economics (4) Geography (1) Biological Sciences (1) Chemistry (2) Computer Science (1) Mathematics Sciences, (2) Physics (1) and Statistics (2).

According to him, 188 students graduated with second class upper, 441 second class lower and 95 students had third class.

The Professor of History noted that a total of 804 students will be graduating from the institution.

“Incidentally, this is my first convocation ceremony as the third substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University and the first in the School of Post Graduate Studies, where a total number of 66 Post Graduate Diploma students in ten various programmes, will be graduating,” he added.
